in the newly released v.1.0.6
we have introduced this very sweet feature that can greatly enhance your work with Performer, and here's a short walk-through:
"bank up" and "bank down" buttons will now send an OSC message, together with a number value representing which bank you're on
if you're still reading and not running to try it out, you may be thinking "ok.. and how does it help?"
so here's just one example for you mac users -- download this new osculator preset >> http://konkreetlabs.com/download/oscula ... preset.zip
open it in OSCulator and see, it contains 8, almost identical presets (based on the "pitch ribbon" preset), each mapped to an individual midi channel.
changing banks in Performer, will change to the correlating preset in OSCulator, so you can, e.g. control one instrument with bank one, and another from bank 2 etc.
here's the little magic in OSCulator:
when putting this feature into use with with your own presets, don't forget to change the ranges for this specific message, in OSCulator's 2nd page:
In min. 1 / In max 8
Out min. 0 / Out max 7
creating multiple presets in OSCulator is very easy. in "Presets" drop down menu go > "New Preset". this will duplicate the current settings to a new preset, while staying in the same file.
...and as always, there are many many other ways for you to use and abuse this feature.. so feel free to let us know what you've being doing with it!
